I do agree with all of the above comments. Well said Mrs. Monroe. In a perfect world we would not have a need for books like this. Though, far from it, this book is ideal for giving Hope and explaining parents' poor choices in a gentle way and at a childs level of comprehension. A book like this would be invaluable for children who do live in a perfect household and have questions about friends who don't. Sheila is not only a phenomenal photographer and mom, but with her talent at writing these self help books for children, I have this gut feeling that, she is on the verge of something huge. And, therefore, hope Greenleaf will reconsider publishing UNDER THE CRYBABY TREE.

I hope Greenleaf will reconsider publishing UNDER THE CRYBABY TREE. Unfortunately, there are untold numbers of children living under these very heavy circumstances each day, and this book gives them a message, a voice, and OPTIONS so they don't have to repeat the behaviors as adults, passing on the ills to future generations. This book will really makes a difference for individuals and for society as a whole.

I TOTALLY agree with Ms.Monroe's letter. Unfortunately, the subject matter, "Under The Crybaby Tree" addresses is all too common in our families today. I say our families because it's hard to think of a family which has not been affected by some type of addition. In every instance where a child is concerned it is a travesty. I have said this before, Sheila has a gift of writing that is so beautiful because she can tell the story through the eyes of a child. It is Greenleaf's loss but out gain that this book will be published and help countless children understand the message. Thank you Sheila and I can't wait for next book!!!!

I completely agree with your letter. I have been working with special education children since 1992. I have seen numerous children whose lives have been changed forever due to the poor choices of their parents. I have worked with children born addicted to drugs and school age children with fetal alcohol syndrome. These are things that no child should ever have to go through but if they are it would be great to have a book to help explain it on their level.

As an early childhood educator and a parent of a pr e-teen, I see the substance of the book, Under the Crybaby Tree, as one that counselors, teachers, and caregivers would appreciate having in their collection as a resource in their response to today's societal changes. While this might not have been a book my teachers may have shared with me as a youngster during the 1970's, it is a book that should be used with today's children. Times, people, and situations continue to evolve. Our response to societal evolution should be current in order to teach our children about the world and the ever changing family in which they live.

WOW. Mommy, I am so proud of you! For those of you who dont know, This has been her dream for a long time, and its finally coming true. I have stayed up many late nights helping her perfect her books haha! She has done a great job. The best part of all of this is helping parents and children find humor, meaning and understanding through real life situations. From not wanting to brush your hair as a child, all the way to life and death matters and how to deal with it. Through this whole process my mom has learned a lot of things and with every book she writes, comes wisdom. I hope you all enjoy these books as much as our family has. I LOVE YOU MOM! I am sooooo proud of you! xoxox
